Top 20 Best Real Time Strategy Games
Included here is a list of some of hte best real time
strategy games that have been released for the PC. Real time strategy
games (RTS) offer an excellent blend of action and strategy. The
majority of RTS games are played in a bird's eye or top down perspective
allowing players easy navigation and the ability jump around to control
units and buildings across game maps, environments and campaigns.
Unlike turn based strategy games where you have the ability to take your
time, in real time strategy games, all movement, construction, combat,
research and more are all occurring in real time.

While Warcraft III is a far cry from the graphics/gameplay of WoW, it still has plenty of life left. The Warcraft III Battle Chest includes both the full game and expansions. There's also the Dota custom campaign that has been so successful that Dota 2 will be released as a stand alone game in 2011.
